Technicolor Motion Picture Corporation is established.
1914
Founded by Herbert Kalmus, Daniel Frost Comstock, and W. Burton Wescott, its film processing labs are subsequently located at 110 – 120 Brookline Avenue. Incorporated in 1915, the company develops the second major color film process (after Britain’s Kinemacolor) and the most widely used in Hollywood from 1922 to 1952. The company opens a Los Angeles office in 1924 and moves there in 1931.
